Small House, Big Mountain (1889)

This photo captures the Bernese Alps, featuring the Mönch (left) and Jungfrau (right) mountains. Most importantly, it includes a small house! Although it’s actually a normal-sized house, it looks so dainty in this image.

Giant mountains behind a tiny house.

The original small house is gone, but there are new ones! I’m always grateful when I find old and new versions of the same location. Thanks to the photographer for both the image and the link to Wikimapia. This site is awesome, and I plan to feature it in my Resource section.
